Matressess and Mattress Practice
Mattressess are muggle inventions used to sleep on, we all use them as well and they are pretty much commonplace among wizards and muggles alike. In Mattress and Fun Noodle Jousting you slide down the ramps on mattresses you may do this either sitting or standing. There is a good form for each position either sitting or standing and they will be explained.
`If you choose to sit on the mattress during your joust you must sit cross legged, preferablly with one hand on the spot where your legs join over eachother for more stability, however some choose to have thier hands behind them to hold them up on the mattress. You must arrange yourself so that your fun noodle spear may be held in your strong hand, then grip the spear as you were taught in the next lesson. When you push off with your mattress you must try to center yourself close to the rear of the mattress especially when sitting so that you have more room and leverage when it comes time to strike your opponent.
If you choose to stand as you slide then you need to stand with your legs apart, about a foot and a half apart to give you good footing and equal balance. You then grip your fun noodle spear firmly as you would during any practice running at a target or opponent and slide focusing once again ont he tip of your spear hitting the spot on your opponent. Standing is the harder form of this game to master because it is easier to be knocked off balance and most prefer to sit and face the opponent unless the opponent also chooses to stand giving you an equal disadvantage.
