Fun Noodle Use
Fun Noodles take the place of spears which are used in traditional jousting. A Fun Noodles is a Muggle pool toy, they are used mainly by the children to float on and hit eachother with they are made of a soft foamy material that floats on water and has a hole in the center of it. The Noodles used for jousting have a white handle that has been inserted three inches into the center hole in the fun noodle and secured with a glue or cement mixture. Using these noodles is much easier than a traditionla joust as they are lighter and not tipped in glass or any other dangerous material. Each noodle is about four feet long, and they com in a variety of colors and shapes, some come in simple a round shape others in suqare or even a ridges or star shape.
To joust with the Fun Noodle you hold it firmly in your dominant hand whether left or right and grasp it firmly holding your arm tucked into your side, in this Lesson we will be practicing running towards a target then towards each other with the noodles, in the joust however you will ride on a mattress and keep the noodle tucked firmly against your body for support as you near the target you will keep your eyes on the end of the noodle and aim it at the area on your target or opponent you wish to hit.
You have to focus ont he end of the noodle not the middle or line of the entire noodles because the end is what will hit the opponeent and focusing anywhere else will cause you top miss the target. Keep in mind that the noodles are not hard objects and they may bend on impact for this reason you must keep a tight grip on your noodle to ensure you do not lose it for losing the noodle scores the opponent three points, and may cause you to lsoe the round.
Curing this Lesson each of you is going to practice running at a target twice and then I will release you all to practice with eachother by running towards each other.
