Lesson 1 - Rules and Regulations.
The game of Mattress and Fun Noodle Jousting is played outdoors and is a very simple yet complex game played on two slides that go opposite directions next to each other with a small barrier in the middle separating them. Each person slides down each side on thier mattress either sitting or standign as they prefer and attempt to score on the other person by either knocking them off thier mattress or hitting them in a certain spot ont he body. Each spot is worth a different amoutn of points as will be outlined below with the rules and gameplay. When we practice playing in class all play will be completely RP however during the tournament practice and the actual tournament trivia will be involved as explained on the Tournament page.
Rules & Regulations

At no point may your Fun Noodle contain any kind of hardened substance or stick in the middle, this is dangerous and could seriously hurt someone.
- All mattressess must be twin size and cannot have anything in them to make them go any faster than others, during tournament play mattresses are provided for participants to ensure this rule is followed.
- Helmest must be worn at all times to ensure the safety of all participants.
- Striking below the waist is completely prohibited.
- Once the whistle is blown all Fun Noodles must be raised and gameplay halted.
- If a player is knocked from a mattress gameplay is halted to ensure they are okay before the next round begins.
- Fun Noodles and Mattresses must be inspected before any competition or gameplay for any form of cheating if a player refuses to submit to this inspection they will be disqualified.
- If a player uses any kind of magic during gameplay or any type of shield charm they then become disqualified.
- This game is done with no magic whatsoever at any point int ime it is a Muggle sport and all gameplay is to be done as the Muggles created it.
- At the begining of each game ramps are inspected for any obvious tampering as well as slope changes in either one.
- Each ramp is required to follow the exact same slope as the ramp opposite it no exceptions to insure that each conteastant has an equal chance of gaining speed and momentum.
- There are many different types of Fun Noodles however during tournament play each player must use the same type of fun noodle. During practice or play for fun they may each use thier own type.
- A player can score up to five points per joust, one for hitting the body, two for a hit on the head, and five for knocking the other player from thier mattress.
In mattress and fun noodle jousting there have never been any fatal injuries, alot of people have broken limbs from falls or accidents, but the sport is not dangerous and is generally very fun.
